After almost one year of the Policy Lab on “Education and Participation”, the results are impressive: over 100 project partners from 50 organisations were involved in 3 great pilot projects and reached around 400 people at a total of 7 events.
At the final event of the Vienna Policy Lab on 16.11.23 in the Neubau district council with approx. 50 participants, the work of the numerous committed stakeholders from the human rights districts of Neubau, Favoriten and Meidling within the EU project MUST-a-Lab was presented.
Following the presentation of the results of the three pilot projects 1. open school café for children and parents, 2. social media campaign on human rights and 3. How’s that job working out? – Job perspectives for young adults, Deputy Mayor of the City of Vienna Christoph Wiederkehr, Member of municipal Council Peter Florianschütz, District Mayor Markus Reiter and District Mayor Wilfried Zankl addressed the participants and shared their political perspectives. In addition to much appreciation for the work done under the flag of human rights, great encouragement for the continuation of the projects was expressed.
In 2024, as part of the EU MUST-a-Lab project, the City of Vienna will be therefore looking at ways of implementing and sustainably anchoring the recommendations developed in the policy lab on education and participation.
