The Municipality of Modena organized the second edition of “FormAZIONE”, the training course dedicated to volunteers who teach Italian to migrant people.
The first edition was proposed as a micro-experimentation in October 2023, achieving great success in terms of participation and satisfaction. The course was then positively evaluated in the Third Policy Lab and one of the Recommendations suggested the Administration to propose new courses, to respond to the high number of subscriptions.
For these reasons the Youth Office immediately got to work to organize the second edition that was held in April 2024.
In the four lessons the following topics were addressed: teaching strategies for poorly literate adults, difficulties related to the mother tongue of foreign students, technologies and teaching materials, finally the last meeting was dedicated to a group workshop about texts and simplification methodologies.
