In the Municipality of Modena there are numerous free-access sports areas, where there are equipment for playing football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, skating or doing gymnastics. However, citizens often don’t know these opportunities.
For this reason, in Recommendation 4 “Sport as a tool for integration”, the policy lab participants urged the Municipal Administration to create a map of free sports areas and promote it, in order to make sport more accessible for all.
Thus the Sports and Telematic Projects Offices created the digital map of sports equipment, which can be consulted on the Municipality website at the link: Attrezzature sportive (comune.modena.it)
On the Municipality map the areas are indicated with different symbols depending on the sport that can be practiced. Then clicking on the single point opens a window in which the precise address and a photograph of the sports area appear.
